Shelter Systems is pleased to announce the following
additions/changes to the organization:
Ed Rash, formerly Manager of Program Management
has agreed to return to the Engineering Department
as Engineering Project Manager. Ed has been with
Gichner since October 1993 and has held the titles
of Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer
and Program Manager. Prior to his employment with
Gichner, Ed was a Senior Engineer with AAI in
Baltimore. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Penn State University.
Dwight Prall has assumed the role of Manager,
Program Management effective Monday, May 22, and
reports to Tom Mills, President & CEO. Dwight
comes to Gichner with a great deal of experience
in the Program Management field. His most recent
position was as Operations Manager at Accufab
Industries with responsibility for project management,
procurement, programming, production control,
manufacturing and quality assurance. Prior to
that, he was a Program Manager with GE Transportation
Systems, Baltimore, where he coordinated key subcontractor
activities in their Light Rail System Improvement
Contract and at AAI in Hunt Valley where he managed
the Railcar Rehabilitation Program for the Maryland
MTA. Dwight has a degree in Business Management
from the York College of Pennsylvania.
John Shaffer will become Supply Chain Manager
effective today reporting to Herb Betz, Director,
Process Improvement & Strategic Sourcing.
John has had an extensive career in Sourcing and
Supply Chain Management. His most recent position
was as Purchasing Manager at SAFC BioSciences
in Denver, PA where he was responsible for all
purchasing activities, supplier agreements and
their associated negotiations. John previously
served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant
and has a degree in Business Administration from
West Chester University. He is currently pursuing
advanced certification in the Supply Chain Management
Program with the University of Wisconsin.
